The NORTH POLE
HMS Dreadnought surfaced at the North Pole on the 3rd March 1971
Video footage taken by Pathe News of Dreadnought. The first shots are in the lower level fore-ends with a shot of Scouse Walmsley doing something at the bilge end - thought he was having a wee to begin with. There follows some shots at the pole and in the JRs mess with Jock Duthie, Dixie, Ken Lewis, Charles Ivan, playing dominoes. Another shot showing JD, Ken Lewis and the jack dusty Ian Wilmore playing scrabble.
Paul Allison LMech 1st & 2nd commission sent his North Pole certificate for inclusion into the website as proof that he participated on that said voyage in 1971.
